In a surprising partnership that challenges usual expectations, the game developer has revealed an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, including free bonus story content for Shadows players.

According to the official announcement, "A mysterious meeting leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where rumors of banned rituals and terrifying changes resonate through the obscurity." The narrative introduces a "unusually garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a hidden sect.
The questline concentrates on "peculiar trials and a terrifying enemy" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Familiar Settings and Changes
The preview features the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview finishes with a dramatic scene showing a character, probably the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who successfully complete the quest will obtain an exclusive katana alongside numerous artifacts hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
